Before you write
- The pointer is landing in the wrong place.
- Check that the add-on is enabled in Blender's preferences. Without it, the app has to guess where panels are instead of being told.
- It says it cannot see my screen.
- Grant screen recording permission in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording, then quit and reopen Help3D.
- Nothing happens when I hold the key.
- Check that the microphone permission is granted, and that ⌃⇧Space is not bound to something else on your Mac.
- It will not transcribe what I say.
- Speech recognition runs entirely on your Mac, so it needs the on-device language assets. Grant speech recognition permission when asked, and make sure your dictation language is downloaded in System Settings → Keyboard → Dictation.
- I have run out of answers.
- The free allowance is a set number of answers every 30 days. The app tells you how many are left and when the window refills — nothing is lost in the meantime.
- I want my account and data deleted.
- Email us and we will delete it. What is stored is listed in the privacy policy.

Privacy
Your voice is transcribed on your Mac and the audio never leaves it. The transcribed question and one screenshot are sent to answer it, and neither is stored afterwards. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
