Hold the key and ask.
Press ⌃⇧Space and say what you are trying to do, in your own words. Your voice is transcribed on your Mac — the audio never leaves it.

It looks at your screen.
One screenshot, taken at the moment you ask. Not a recording, not a watcher running in the background.

It points, and explains.
A mark lands on the actual control you need, and it narrates the step. Then it stops and waits, instead of burying you in the next six.
Why it is different
Not another video to pause.
It points at your screen, not a generic one.
A tutorial shows someone else's layout, someone else's Blender version, someone else's theme. This points at yours, wherever your panels happen to be.
It cannot break your file.
Read-only, by design. It can see and explain; it has no ability to click, model, or change a single value. Nothing it does is undoable, because it does not do anything.
One step, then silence.
Most tools answer with a wall. This gives you a step, waits while you do it, and notices when you have done it. Learning happens in the pause.
Your voice stays on your Mac.
Transcription is on-device. The screenshot and the transcribed question go to the model that answers; the audio itself never leaves your machine.
What it is honest about
The things it will not do.
- It teaches, it does not operate. If you want something that clicks for you, this is not it.
- It needs a small companion add-on in Blender. The app installs it for you; you tick one checkbox in Blender's preferences.
- It needs to see your screen while you are asking. macOS will ask your permission, once.
- Free tier is 30 answers every 30 days. A multi-step walkthrough counts as one.

- Does it record my screen?
- No. It takes one screenshot at the moment you ask, and only then. There is no background capture and no recording.
- Does my voice get uploaded?
- No. Speech is transcribed on your Mac. The text of your question and the screenshot are what get sent to answer it.
- Can it edit my scene?
- No, and it never will. Read-only is a design decision, not a missing feature.
- What is the add-on for?
- It reports where Blender's panels are on screen, so the pointer lands on the right control rather than an educated guess. It is read-only too, and it is open source.
- Which Blender versions?
- 4.2 and later, including 5.x.
- What happens after 30 answers?
- It tells you when the window refills. Nothing is lost.
